Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak is seeking a PRN Casual Day nursing student to support a General Medical Progressive Care Unit (6NE MPCU). You will perform bedside nursing tasks under supervision, assist with activities of daily living, and monitor patients with close observation requirements.

Eligible students graduating in December 2027 or later may apply; ACLS and MI licensure planning guidance provided. This is a part-time daytime position at Royal Oak Hospital, with variability in weekend work.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire is required; BLS certification is required.
• Transcripts must be provided at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in general nursing care under supervision of a nurse.
• Support patients with activities of daily living and comfort measures.
• Monitor patients and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Adhere to hospital policies and procedures and safety protocols.
