Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Nurse Tech-RN Student in a PRN capacity to assist with patient care on Medsurg. This role supports nursing staff and provides essential student-level clinical experience in a busy acute care setting.

The Nurse Tech will perform duties learned in their nursing program, including equipment preparation and patient education, under RN supervision. BLS is required and pre-employment assessments must be passed.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment assessment.
• BLS required.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with consideration of developmental differences.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes of UHS.
