Job summary

St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK seeks a Nursing Student Nurse Tech to support patient care under RN supervision. This role provides hands-on experience with diverse patient populations and acute care settings.

You will learn to assemble and operate patient care equipment, monitor patient status, and participate in education for patients and families. BLS may be required and a pre-employment assessment will be completed.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and has completed the first semester of an accredited Nursing Program or holds an Oklahoma CNA license in Long Term Care and is enrolled in a Nursing Program.
• Must pass and complete each semester including clinical and theory classes to remain in Nurse Tech status.
• BLS certification is required.
• Must successfully complete the pre-employment assessment.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently; basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and operate equipment for patient care under RN supervision.
• Keep colleagues informed of changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participate in patient/family education per policy, considering developmental differences.
• Report variances according to UHS risk management processes.
