Job summary

St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid, OK is seeking a Nursing Student to join the team as a Nurse Tech, performing nursing assistant duties and related technical tasks learned in a nursing program under RN supervision.

You will care for diverse patient populations, maintain safety and quality standards, and participate in patient education with guidance from the care team. The role requires BLS, current enrollment in a nursing program, and successful completion of a pre-employment

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in first semester of an accredited nursing program or hold Oklahoma CNA licensure.
• Must remain Nurse Tech by passing each semester including clinicals.
• BLS required.
• Must complete the pre-employment assessment.
• Must demonstrate each task before performing independently; basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in assembling and operating equipment for patient care under the supervision of an RN.
• Keeps appropriate people aware of pertinent changes or problems in patient condition.
• Participates in planned education for the patient per Patient/Family Education policy with consideration of developmental differences.
• Reports variances according to risk management processes of UHS.
