Job summary

University of Missouri Health Care is seeking a dedicated Care Team Associate for Capital Region Emergency Services in Jefferson City, MO. The role supports nursing staff with patient care tasks in a fast-paced ER environment, including transfers, feeding assistance, and routine checks.

The position is full-time, with 3 twelve-hour days, every other weekend and rotating holidays. Base pay ranges from $15.81 to $24.92 per hour, plus a $2.00 weekend differential, and on-site employment at Capital

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a nursing education program and will complete Fundamentals of Nursing within 90 days.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or CNA exam registration.
• Certification as a Patient Care Technician (PCT).
• Direct patient care experience in the past 3 years as CNA, EMT, or surgical tech.
• Complete UAP training program with 100 hours of patient care in the last 3 years or within 180 days.
• Nursing licensure candidate who previously did not pass state licensure exams (past 3 years).
• Nursing program completed outside the United States and awaiting licensure in this country.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing and ancillary staff with patient transfers and meal tray delivery.
• Organize workload, manage multiple tasks, and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
• Educate and train new staff members in Care Team Associate responsibilities.
• Perform duties in routine and emergent situations as delegated by nursing staff.
• Carry out patient position changes, equipment handling, hygiene care, and basic venipuncture as needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely entry of information into bed-management systems.
• Respond promptly to patient call lights and document vital signs, intake/output, height and weight.

Education

Nursing education program enrollment

CNA certification or registration

PCT certification
