Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Nurse Tech for the 6 Meijer Heart Center Progressive Care Unit Cardiac Vascular in Butterworth - Grand Rapids, MI. This full-time role covers a day shift with 36 hours weekly and a 7:00 AM–7:30 PM schedule, requiring high school diploma and BLS within 90 days.

Industry-specific patient care responsibilities include vitals, wound care, and documentation. Orientation includes weekday classes and sheath removal training as part of the unit's cardiac NT requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Experience in direct patient care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and chart vitals and monitor patients.
• Provide basic nursing support including wound care and catheterization assistance.
• Assist with daily activities and safety for patients; float to similar units for 1:1 shifts when needed.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Communicate observations to RN or Provider and coordinate with health care team.
• Support delivery of quality patient care in progressive care unit.
