Job summary

Advocate Health's Psychiatric Nursing unit in Stanly, NC seeks a full-time RN leader to oversee clinical operations and patient care delivery. This role supports staffing, compliance, and care quality in a 36-hour workweek with four 9-hour shifts.

Required BSN, active RN licensure, and a minimum of two years nursing experience with leadership preference. BLS and professional certification due within the specified timelines are mandated.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• BSN required; BSN enrollees must start within 1 year and finish within 3 years.
• Minimum two years nursing experience; management experience preferred.
• BLS required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Supports the manager to enhance nursing practice and delivery of care in the department.
• Assists with interview, selection, and supervision of nursing personnel.
• Coordinates communication via staff meetings/huddles to exchange information and promote dialogue.
• Ensures compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and policies.
• Rounds on patients, teammates, and physicians to assess care quality and satisfaction.
• Delegates care to appropriate staff per policy and legal parameters.
• Identifies outcome direction for continuity of care and operations.
• Evaluates progress toward goals and disseminates information to team.
• Performs nursing care, treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as needed.
• Manages patient flow and staffing through assessment of volume and acuity.
