Job summary

HACIENDAOAKS in Texas is seeking an experienced RN Nursing Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities in a long-term care facility. You will supervise licensed nurses, coordinate with DON/ADON as applicable, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards, and participate in policy development and quality assurance.

Strong leadership, communication, and clinical oversight are essential for resident safety and care quality.

Qualifications

• Must posess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree an accredited college or university.
• Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• 2 years or more experience preferably in a long-term care facility.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
• Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing.
• Must remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing at all times.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities according to regulations.
• Develop and update policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure Nursing Service Manual is current and staff comply with it.
• Report to Director on operation of the nursing service department.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Supervise nursing staff and coordinate with other departments.
