Job summary

Houston Transitional Care seeks a Nursing Supervisor to provide direct nursing care oversight and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local standards and coordinate with the Nurse Supervisor to maintain high quality resident care.

Responsibilities include directing daily nursing operations, updating policies, planning shifts, and participating in QA and facility surveys.

Qualifications

• Direct supervision of nursing assistants and adherence to current standards and regulations.
• Develop and revise nursing policies and procedures as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, and activities with staff and support personnel.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants in accordance with rules and guidelines.
• Ensure all nursing staff comply with facility policies and procedures.
• Review and revise department policies and procedure manuals as needed.
• Plan shifts, services, and activities with nursing staff and support personnel.
• Maintain Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure compliance by staff.
• Prepare and submit reports on shift activities as required.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident care to maintain total care.
