Job summary

Wynwood Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in New Jersey seeks an experienced nursing leader to provide direct resident care and supervise day-to-day nursing activities, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

You will direct nursing personnel, plan shifts and services, complete reports, coordinate with resident services, admit/transfer residents as needed, and uphold high-quality care through teamwork and leadership.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate knowledge and skills to provide care for age-related needs.
• Must possess leadership and supervisory ability.
• Must be able to make independent decisions when required.
• Must be able to interact tactfully with staff, residents, families, and authorities.
• Must know nursing practices and regulations applicable to care facilities.
• Must be able to evaluate performance and initiate disciplinary actions.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing personnel in accordance with current rules and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with written policies and procedures.
• Plan shifts' services, programs, and activities with assigned staff.
• Ensure adherence to Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Prepare written and oral reports and recommendations for the shift.
• Coordinate with resident services to maintain the resident's overall care regimen.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Perform administrative duties such as charting and forms.
