Job summary

PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during tours of duty, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations governing the facility.

The role includes directing nursing services, updating policies, maintaining manuals, coordinating with resident services, and participating in quality assurance and committee activities to promote high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility.
• Attend and participate in quality assurance programs and facility surveys as requested.
• Assist in developing, maintaining, and updating written policies and procedures in the nursing service department.
• Maintain current reference materials and recommended materials to support nursing staff.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and that staff comply with its procedures.
• Make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Director of Nursing Services as necessary.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Develop and implement discharge planning related to nursing services as required.
• Meet with nursing staff and support personnel to plan services, programs, and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Interpret policies to personnel, residents, visitors, and government agencies.
• Perform administrative duties such as charting, reports, evaluations, and studies as necessary.
• Report suspected violations of resident information access and disclosure to the Administrator.
