This position is located at Randolph Correctional Center #4445, Asheboro, NC. Randolph Correctional Center is a minimum-custody prison housing male offenders. Randolph Correctional serves as the hub for healthcare for the male offender population. The facility is designed to house a maximum capacity of 254 offenders.
Positions at this level perform comprehensive, complex, professional-level nursing work in providing primary, preventive, and rehabilitative care to offenders in a correctional setting. Nurse Supervisor I is responsible for ensuring professional nursing care and treatment is afforded to patients within medical policies, protocols, and consistent with Board of Nursing requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct supervision of nursing staff to include staff schedules, assignments, orientation, performance improvement evaluations, and clinical competency evaluations. The Nurse Supervisor I supervises, conducts need assessments, develops, implements, and evaluates treatment plans, and provides patient care and education to offenders. Position will ensure all policies and procedures are followed and submit short- and long-term goals to Leadership for review and approval. Position will perform administrative duties such as planning, organizing and managing daily operations, quality assurance, Human Resource management functions, and staff development. The Nurse Supervisor will be required to develop and maintain effective communication and work relationships with Physicians, upper management healthcare personnel, patients, families, agencies and others.
The Nurse Supervisor I must have the ability to identify and address quality monitoring and performance improvement issues for the facility. May be required to work any schedule to ensure medical operational needs are met at the facility level.
Salary Range: $ 71,698.00- $106,139.00
