Poway Healthcare Center is seeking a nursing leader to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during tours of duty, ensuring care quality and adherence to federal, state, and local standards.

The role includes directing nursing functions, maintaining current policies, reporting to the Director of Nursing Services, and participating in quality assurance and committee activities to coordinate resident care.

• Supervise the day-to-day nursing activities during the tour of duty in accordance with federal, state, and local standards and regulations.
• Assist in directing day-to-day nursing functions and ensure policies and procedures are current and followed.
• Maintain nursing service procedures and ensure staff compliance with the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Provide written and oral reports to the Director of Nursing Services and participate in reviews and revisions of policies and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and coordinate nursing services with other resident services.
• Plan and participate in the discharge planning process and in staff development.
• Attend committee meetings such as Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, and Quality Assessment as required.
