Job summary

University Care Center in San Diego seeks a Nurse Supervisor to oversee day-to-day nursing activities during your tour of duty. You will ensure care quality in line with federal, state, and local standards, with guidance from the DON/ADON as applicable.

Responsibilities include directing nursing staff, updating policies, maintaining manuals, coordinating with other resident services, participating in QA and committees, and reporting to the Administrator or Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Direct nursing staff to ensure daily care aligns with federal, state and local standards.
• Develop, maintain, and update Nursing Service policies and procedures.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in facility surveys and QA activities; report findings to leadership.
• Attend and contribute to committee meetings related to care plans, quality and safety.
