Job summary

CN Guidance & Counseling Services seeks a highly skilled RN Supervisor to lead nursing services in the Intensive Crisis Stabilization Center. You will oversee shift nursing staff, coordinate care with psychiatrists, supervise medication administration, and ensure trauma‑informed, recovery‑oriented care.

Strong supervision and crisis management experience are essential. Responsibilities include clinical training, patient education coordination, documentation in EHR, and quality improvement

Qualifications

• Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the New York State Department of Education.
• Must possess an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Two years of community mental health or psychiatric/behavioral health/crisis stabilization experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure completion of medical assessments for each client and coordinate with the psychiatrist.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrist and provide clinical training to the team; supervise medication administration and psychiatric/medical interventions.
• Monitor pharmacological effects and report effectiveness to the psychiatrist.
• Coordinate patient education on medications and wellness, including group sessions when needed.
• Enter documentation in the EHR and maintain continuity of care through shift change reports.
• Supervise nursing staff during shifts, ensure protocol compliance and safety.
• Oversee triage, assessment, medication administration, monitoring, and crisis intervention.
• Respond to emergencies and de-escalate high-risk situations.
• Provide mentorship and performance feedback to ICSC nursing staff.
• Monitor inventory and ensure safety/regulatory compliance with supplies and meds.
• Promote trauma-informed care and recovery-oriented practice.
• Utilize data in clinical supervision to inform decisions and improvements.
• Identify and implement quality improvement trainings and activities.
