Job summary

Journey is seeking a detail-oriented Nurse Scheduler to coordinate nursing schedules and maintain optimal staffing for our healthcare facility in Stone Mountain, GA. The role focuses on organizing shifts, communicating with care teammates, and ensuring coverage during all shifts.

The Nurse Scheduler will collaborate with the Director of Nursing and Executive Director to address staffing needs, track attendance, and support efficient operations in our community-based care setting.

Qualifications

• Experience scheduling Certified Nursing Assistants, Qualified Medication Assistants, and/or Nurses.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate staffing.
• Knowledge of staffing policies and attendance programs.

Responsibilities

• Develops and posts work schedules in a timely manner.
• Coordinates and obtains approval for time off with the Director of Nursing.
• Maintains current listing of care team contact numbers for call-ins.
• Notifies Executive Director and Director of Nursing of potential short or critical staffing levels.
• Manages attendance records and reports information to HR/Payroll.
• Supports operations to ensure adequate staffing levels and smooth shifts.
