Job summary

Trustbridge Hospice, a part of Empath Health, seeks an experienced RN to guide newly licensed nurses through the transition from academia to hospice practice. This role bridges classroom learning with real-world patient and family care at the end of life.

You will develop and deliver a nurse residency curriculum aligned with CMS/AHCA/CHAP/ANCC-PTAP standards, lead clinical facilitation, and mentor residents while tracking competency and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with current RN licensure in Florida; BSN required, MSN preferred.
• 3–5 years in clinical education; 2 years hospice experience.
• Certified Preceptor or eligible to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• CHPN certification or obtain within two years of hire.
• Experience with electronic medical records and Pyxis system.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the nurse residency curriculum meeting CMS, AHCA, CHAP and ANCC-PTAP requirements.
• Lead clinical facilitation at a designated location for the nurse residency program.
• Track and analyze residents' competencies, satisfaction, and well-being; report findings to the program director.
• Mentor, coach and model best practices for Nurse Residents and provide ongoing feedback.
