Job summary

West Tennessee Healthcare in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking a Graduate Nurse (RN) under supervision to provide patient care and carry out assigned procedures. You will document care, ensure patient safety, and communicate with the care team throughout shifts.

Must have or obtain TN RN licensure before orientation ends; BLS within orientation, ACLS preferred. Successful completion of a nursing program is required for employment consideration.

Qualifications

• Current TN RN license prior to orientation completion.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct/indirect patient care as assigned by charge nurse/preceptor.
• Ensures patient safety and quality of care at all times.
• Documents care provided and updates the care plan as needed.
• Performs responsibilities related to safe disposal of hazardous waste.
• Communicates patient status and unit operations to the care team promptly.
• Interacts with other departments using established lines of communication.
• Performs secondary assessments on Med/Surg, Progressive Care, Post Acute, and SNF.
• Performs other duties as required.
