Job summary

Covenant Living of Northbrook is seeking a Nurse Program Manager, RN to supervise professional and non-professional nursing staff across assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care. You will set nursing policies, participate in staff evaluation and training, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with the Director of Nursing to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

Ideal candidates are licensed RNs in Illinois with at least two years of nursing and supervisory experience and a strong

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise professional and non-professional nursing staff.
• Perform rounds to assure quality of care and resident satisfaction.
• Manage the overall functioning of the building for the assigned shift.
• Explain nursing policies and procedures and provide training to staff.
• With the Director of Nursing, participate in staff evaluation, discipline and motivation.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing/administration regarding observations and concerns.
• Explain nursing care to residents and families per procedures.
• Administer direct and/or emergency care when necessary.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with EMS when required.
• Ensure safety and maintenance of nursing units and equipment.
• Coordinate care with other departments, physicians, consultants, staff, residents, and families.
