Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Texas is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for specialty clinics with prescriptive authority. This licensed, certified provider will deliver direct patient care and be credentialed and billed as an independent provider under supervision.

The role includes conducting comprehensive exams, ordering labs, formulating treatment plans, and counseling patients and families on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and eligible for Texas NP license.
• Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Texas.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Board-certified as an APRN for the patient population focus required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive or problem-focused exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate labs and diagnostics.
• Prescribe medications and therapies per supervising physician.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans and monitor responses.
• Counsel patients and families on medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintain thorough patient records and coordinate referrals as needed.
