Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide specialized patient care with prescriptive authority across multiple clinics. The role emphasizes direct patient assessment, diagnostics, and coordinated treatment plans within a collaborative care team.

The APRN will work under physician supervision, manage diverse patient populations, and perform procedures as credentialed, contributing to high-quality outcomes and cost-effective care.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license or eligibility.
• RN license with compact privilege from a state in the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Board-certified APRN for the patient population focus required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' physical and mental condition through exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret labs and diagnostics to guide care.
• Prescribe medications and therapies; follow approved protocols.
• Develop and implement patient treatment plans with physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on medical processes, medications, nutrition, and health optimization.
• Maintain thorough treatment records and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Provide consultation services related to specialty and training.
• Manage patients in inpatient, emergency, or outpatient settings as needed.
• Perform invasive procedures within scope and credentialing.
• Adhere to coverage needs and schedules.
