Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients by performing exams and obtaining histories.
• Orders, collects, interprets, and evaluates laboratory tests and other diagnostics.
• Prescribes or recommends medical drug therapies and manages treatment plans.
• Counsels patients about medications, nutrition, and health promotion.
• Maintains records detailing treatment plans and outcomes; initiates referrals as needed.
• Performs invasive procedures within scope of practice and training.
