Job summary

HealthDrive is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to manage medical needs of skilled nursing residents in sub-acute rehab and long-term care units. The APRN will diagnose and treat health conditions, conduct exams, interpret labs, and serve as primary contact for emergencies and routine visits.

The role offers a 3-week paid training program with a mentor APRN, plus a comprehensive benefits package including malpractice insurance and CEU access.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing and NP licensure across practicing state.
• Board certification required for APRN practice.
• DEA/controlled substance license required.
• Active driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and preventative care for residents in assigned facility.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays, etc.).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe medications.
• Maintain accurate records and schedules.
• Inform patients about health conditions and prescribed medications.
• Oversee patients’ overall health.
