Job summary

Rendr is seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) to join our New York primary care team. You will perform physical examinations, manage patient health, order tests, and collaborate with supervising physicians to deliver high-quality, culturally responsive care to Asian communities.

Responsibilities include preventive services, women's health, and care coordination across 100+ clinics. New York State APN license and DEA are required; bilingual English and Chinese is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS APN license and DEA registration.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Experience in primary care preferred.
• Bilingual English and Chinese required.

• Perform physical examinations and patient assessments with supervising physician.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Obtain medical histories and document results.
• Recommend appropriate treatment plans based on assessments.
• Prescribe medications and order tests when indicated.
• Coordinate care and provide preventive health services.

Essential Functions

• In collaboration with supervising physician, perform physical examinations and patient assessments to manage a range of patient health and wellness issues.
• Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as needed.
• Obtain patient medical histories and document pertinent health history data and results of exam according to established standards.
• Make recommendations for appropriate patient treatment plans based on assessment of needs.
• Initiates treatment by prescribing medication, ordering diagnostic tests, exams, and procedures.
• Reviews lab results and propose plan of action according to results.
• Coordinate care and perform routine health maintenance for established and new patients.
• Provide preventive health services by counseling and educating patients and families.
• Provide care for women's health which includes performing pap smears and other related tasks.
• Assist in quality management.

Qualifications

• Active NYS APN license required.
• DEA required.
• BLS/ACLS certification required.
• Previous experience in primary care preferred.
• Bilingual English and Chinese required.
