Yoh, a Day & Zimmermann company, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant for Occupational Health in Bowling Green, KY. This 1st shift, long-term position offers on-site medical care, OSHA recordkeeping, and wellness program support.

You will perform emergency and routine occupational medical services, including exams, treatment, and Fitness for Duty evaluations, with a team of nurses and a plant Medical Director. Flexible hours may apply to meet client needs.

Qualifications

• Advanced Degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program of Study.
• Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the appropriate state.
• Current CPR and valid DEA certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses for employees.
• Renders on-site medical care for occupational injuries/illnesses including assessment, diagnosis and treatment.
• Performs assessments for employee Surveillance Physicals and interprets pre-physical test results.
• Recommends patient-specific medications and treatments for administration by nurses.
• Documents medical assessments and treatments in the corporate EMR.
• Maintains OSHA recordkeeping (OSHA 300 Log & 301's).
• Performs ergonomic site evaluations and Fitness for Duty assessments.
• Evaluates restrictions and serves as resource for ADAPT job placement.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant-Occupational Health (1st shift) needed for a long term opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Bowling Green, KY.

Hours

Monday-Friday 1st (6 am-3 pm) shift with flex to go into 2nd shift

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Performs emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses for employees.
• Renders on site medical care for non-emergency occupational injuries and illnesses, including assessment, diagnosis, and appropriate treatment
• Performs assessments and dispositions for employee Surveillance Physicals, taking into consideration the pre-physical test results.
• Recommends patient specific over the counter and prescription medications and treatments for administration and distribution by nurses.
• Prepares concise and timely documentation of all patient medical assessment and treatments in the corporate electronic medical recordkeeping system.
• Provides accurate and consistent OSHA Recordkeeping (OSHA 300 Log & 301’s).
• Job-site evaluations for ergonomic assessments.
• Perform Fitness for Duty evaluations.
• Evaluates, validates, and tracks restrictions.
• Serves as a resource for ADAPT job placement in the absence of plant physician.
• Works with the Emergency Response Team.
• Supports wellness initiatives – Health Education and counseling, disease prevention, health promotion.
• Assigned medical services will be under the supervision and within the scope of practice of the plant Medical Director.
• Completes other assignments as requested and assigned.
• May have access to personal health information (“PHI”) necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities.
• Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

• Advanced Degree from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program of Study. Active and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in the appropriate state.
• Valid DEA certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Physician Assistant in an occupational health environment or related field.
• Knowledgeable of State and Federal OSHA rules and regulations.
• Demonstrates effective oral and communication skills.
• Adept with basic computer systems and documentation.
• Able to work flexible hours, if necessary, to meet the customers’ requirements.
