Job summary

Adventist HealthCare's Shady Grove Medical Center in Rockville, MD is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for our Neurosurgery Department to advance compassionate, mission-driven care.

You will perform rounds, pre/post-op assessments, assist in surgeries, coordinate with teams, and educate patients and families. Must have NCCPA, Maryland NP license, CDS/DEA, BLS/ACLS, and 2 years neurosurgery experience.

Qualifications

  • Completed an Accredited NP Program.
  • Two years neurosurgical experience or surgical residency preferred.
  • NCCPA certification required.
  • Maryland State NP license required.
  • CDS and DEA required.
  • Active BLS certification required.
  • Active ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily rounds and post-operative visits with documentation.
  • Assess medical and physical status, including H&Ps and neurosurgical consultations.
  • Assist in surgeries and coordinate inpatient care and discharge planning.
