The ideal candidate holds a nursing baccalaureate, may have a master’s degree, and has prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Three years of work experience in department-specific area.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Current Maryland State nursing license.
  • Active American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Leadership certification within 1 year of eligibility.
  • Participation in professional organizations.

  • Operationalize the department's strategic plan and ensure safe, patient-centered care.
  • Oversee staff performance, competency, and professional growth; conduct reviews.
