Matrix Providers Inc. seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to perform one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Pearl City, HI. Full-time schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and life coverage.

Experience with VA disability exams is a plus; candidates must be licensed and BLS certified, able to work independently, and comply with CDC/state vaccination guidelines. On-site facility and supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review veteran medical history and conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam using web-based forms; submit to VA for disability determinations.
• Perform standard exams (musculoskeletal, cardio, respiratory); order ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) as needed.
• Exams may require same-gender staff preference; support patient comfort and privacy.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team of talented medical professionals to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Pearl City, HI

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: $60.07- $63.23
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

This role supports patient care during sensitive procedures where patients may request a same-gender staff member. The facility seeks to ensure appropriate gender representation among staff to accommodate patient choice.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.
• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and a willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Job Summary:

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include – musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.
