Job summary

Matrix Providers is seeking a Nurse Practitioner NP to join our team for one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Fresno, CA. This on-site, part-time role offers compensation at $55.00-60.00 per hour with bi-weekly pay, and a Thursday and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm schedule.

The NP must hold an active unrestricted NP license, BLS certification, and be able to work independently as part of a collaborative team. Prior VA exam experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for duration of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam through web-based examination forms; all documentation will be completed electronically. Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner NP must have and meet the following qualifications:
