Job summary

Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Fresno, CA. The role supports veterans through precise medical assessments and timely documentation.

This is a part-time position paying $55.00–$60.00 per hour, with Thursday and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm. You will review medical history, perform standard exams, and complete electronic forms for VA disability determinations.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license required.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility.
• Must possess basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff and contractors must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review pertinent medical history documentation and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam through web-based examination form(s); all documentation will be completed electronically.
• Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability award determinations.
• Standard exams include - musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and will be conducted on location or nearby.

• Employment Status: Part Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $55.00-60.00/hr.
• Schedule: Part Time, Thursday and Friday 8:00am-4:00pm

Requirements and Skillsets:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.
• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
