Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Cedar Rapids, IA. This is a full-time position with an hourly pay range and comprehensive benefits.

You will review medical histories, capture responses via web-based forms, and forward completed exams to the VA for disability determinations. Standard exams cover musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory systems, with ancillaries on-site or nearby.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of employment.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good interpersonal skills and flexibility to changing situations.
• Basic computer skills.
• All on-site staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC/state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Review pertinent medical history and provide veterans with one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams.
• Capture responses during the exam via web-based forms; submit documentation electronically to VA.
• Completed exams are sent to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for disability determinations.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory.
• Ancillaries (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) may be ordered and conducted on site or nearby.

• Employment Status: Full Time


• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly $54.00-58.59/hr


• Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm.

Requirements and Skillsets: The Nurse Practitioner (NP must have and meet the following qualifications:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license for the duration of your employment.


• Certification: Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
