Job summary

ProMedica Physicians Group seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide NICU coverage in Toledo, Ohio. The role supports NICU at Ebeid Children’s Hospital and Bay Park L&D with no call coverage required.

You will join a team of seven neonatologists and nine NNPs, caring for patients from 22 weeks gestation to six months post-birth, typically with an average daily census around 48. A 2+ year Level 3 NICU background is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree required.
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner certification required.
• State licensure in Ohio.
• Current CPR certification (AHA) and role-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat neonatal illnesses in the NICU.
• Manage chronic and acute neonatal conditions and care plans.
• Collaborate with neonatologists and nursing staff to optimize outcomes.

Role Description

Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who has completed advanced education and clinical training beyond their initial registered nurse (RN) preparation. They play a vital role across ProMedica by providing a wide range of healthcare services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, long term disease management, and promoting health and wellness. NPs can work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, urgent care, long term care facilities, and private practices, and may specialize in areas like family medicine, pediatrics, or geriatrics. Requirements
