ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) seeks a Pediatric Hospitalist physician to join the Toledo, Ohio team. This role provides inpatient care with 12-hour shifts and weekends/holidays required, serving as the main admitting service for multiple specialties when needed.

The position offers close collaboration with the University of Toledo Medical School and Pediatric residency program, with ample teaching opportunities and a focus on quality improvement with ancillary staff.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active medical license in Ohio.
• Board certified or eligible in pediatrics.
• Current American Heart Association certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS).
• Commitment to continuing medical education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide 100% inpatient or observation coverage as pediatric hospitalist.
• Collaborate with NICU and PICU teams and the University of Toledo Medical School for teaching and resident education.
• Participate in hospital committees and quality-improvement initiatives.
• Lead and participate in 12-hour shift coverage (days or nights) with weekends/holidays as required.

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited institution in the applicable specialty.
• Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in the state(s) where care is provided
• Board certified or board eligible in the relevant specialty.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) certification(s) applicable to your role (e.g., BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.).
• Commitment to ongoing continuing medical education (CME) and professional development.
