Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive medical services to incarcerated patients in Kentucky. Supervised by the Site Medical Director, you will perform exams, chronic care, and infirmary rounds, documenting in SOAP notes and coordinating referrals as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of employment.
• Experience in medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma settings preferred.
• Corrections environment experience is a plus.
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to incarcerated patients, including exams and chronic care.
• Document progress notes in SOAP format and follow formulary guidelines.
• Manage emergencies and coordinate off-site referrals when needed.
• Support admission, transfer, and specialty consult processes.
• Maintain confidentiality and participate in facility councils as requested.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
