Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide medical care to incarcerated patients under supervision and document care in SOAP format. You will coordinate with physicians to ensure timely treatment in a corrections setting.

State NP licensure and CPR are required; corrections or acute care experience is preferred. Flexibility to rotate hours and participate in on-call coverage is expected, with ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have current state NP licensure.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Corrections experience preferred.
• Willing to rotate hours and respond to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to inmates, including exams and rounds.
• Maintains SOAP notes and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and handles non-formulary drugs or referrals.
• Supports admissions, transfers, and specialty referrals.
• Maintains confidentiality and participates in facility committees.

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Advanced degree in Nurse Practitioner program
