Wellpath invites a Nurse Practitioner to join our corrections healthcare team. The NP provides comprehensive medical care to incarcerated patients under the supervision of the Site Medical Director, ensuring proper documentation and scheduling coverage as needed.

The role requires nursing licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, CPR certification, and experience in medical/surgical, emergency, or corrections settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nursing program.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner degree required.
• Corrections experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to inmates, including exams, chronic care clinics, infirmary rounds.
• Maintains SOAP notes and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and handles non-formulary drugs or referrals.
• Supports policies for admissions, transfers, and specialty referrals.
• Maintains confidentiality and contributes to facility committees.
