Wellpath seeks a licensed Nurse Practitioner to deliver comprehensive medical care to incarcerated patients under site supervision. You will conduct exams, manage chronic conditions, and perform rounds in a secure setting.

The role emphasizes accurate SOAP documentation, adherence to formulary guidelines, and prompt response to emergencies. Rotation of shifts and collaboration with the medical team are essential for patient safety and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced degree in an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• Experience in medical/surgical and/or emergency/trauma settings preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a corrections environment and rotate shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to inmates, including exams, chronic care, and infirmary rounds.
• Maintain accurate SOAP notes and adhere to formulary guidelines.
• Respond to emergencies and manage non-formulary drugs or off-site referrals.
• Support admission, transfer, and specialty referrals per policy.
