Job summary

DOCS Health seeks Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors, delivering health readiness services to military service members in Texas, primarily weekends with some weekdays under the RHRP on an as-needed basis. This role supports the deployment-readiness of service members and works across locations, including remote military installations.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state
• CPR/BLS Certification
• Experience with Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health - preferred
• Willing to travel to remote military installations - weekend availability preferred

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
