Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to join as independent contractors to support military service members. The role focuses on health assessments, reviewing records, and interviewing personnel at various locations, including remote military installations.

Weekend-heavy schedule with occasional weekday hours under the Reserve Health Readiness Program (RHRP) in Louisiana, USAR, ARNG, and other reserve components. Travel and extended hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state (Louisiana).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience with primary care, urgent care or occupational health preferred.
• Knowledge of military systems, protocols, and terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify any concerns that need to be addressed immediately, inclusive of Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results for readiness classification in the service member’s medical record.
