Job summary
Avante Group's Avante at Orlando is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions, oversee patient care, and promote preventive health practices in a newly opened and remodeled facility.
You will perform physical exams, interpret lab results, prescribe medications, educate patients and families, mentor junior NPs, and collaborate with physicians and other care teams to maintain high-quality, compliant care.
Qualifications
- Active Florida NP license and board certification.
- Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a skilled nursing facility.
- Experience in primary, acute and chronic care.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Commitment to ongoing clinical education and patient safety.
Responsibilities
- Examine patients and review medical records.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
- Diagnose conditions and propose treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and manage chronic diseases.
- Maintain patient records and care schedules.
- Educate patients and families on health and meds.
- Mentor NP team and participate in meetings.
- Support onboarding and staff development.
- Coordinate with facility leadership and care teams.
- Provide coverage at other Florida facilities when needed.
