Job summary

West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, TX seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to practice in the Community Living Center, delivering a full range of NP services with emphasis on quality and timeliness in support of VA missions.

A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive may be authorized for highly qualified candidates; Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) may be available to eligible applicants. Basic requirements include NP degree, active APN license, and board certification.

Qualifications

• Education: a post-master's certificate or master's or doctoral degree as a Nurse Practitioner; must be graduate of an approved nursing school and accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
• License: APN license active, current, full, and unrestricted to practice as an NP in the U.S. or D.C.
• Basic Board Certification in one of the listed NP specialties (FNP, ANP, AGPCNP, ACNP, AGACNP, GNP) from ANCC/AANPCB or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of NP services in the Community Living Center.
• Maintain active APN license and board certification as required.
• Participate in interdisciplinary teams to improve veteran care.
