Job summary

West Texas VA Health Care System in Big Spring, TX seeks a full-time Physician (Community Living Center) to deliver direct patient care and work with the CLC Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams. Recruitment/Relocation incentives and the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) may be authorized for qualified candidates.

The role requires a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine with unrestricted licensure in the United States, and preferred experience in a Community Living Center or

Qualifications

• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
• Experience in geriatric care and end-of-life planning is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Conducts history and physical examinations for residents on admission and periodically as required.
• Performs medical rounds and clinic assessments.
• Diagnoses and manages acute and chronic medical conditions in residents.
