Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Float to provide comprehensive urgent care services across central Indiana. You will assess patients of all ages, perform exams, order tests, diagnose conditions, and treat acute episodic illnesses.

The role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently or with a physician in a high-paced setting. A Master’s in Nursing and NP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed NP/PA in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections.
