GoHealth Urgent Care in partnership with Community Health Network is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for urgent care in Indianapolis. You will evaluate and treat patients of all ages, perform minor procedures, and collaborate with physicians as needed.

The role requires 1+ year of Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience, pediatric and adult patient management skills, and proficiency with EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
• National NP certification (AANP or ANCC) required.
• Minimum 1 year full-time NP/PA experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience with both pediatric and adult patients.
• Comfort with minor procedures: suturing, casting, splinting.

We would love for you to become a member of our team!### **About the Role**As a **Nurse Practitioner (NP)**, you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You’ll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You’ll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to escalate care to emergency services.### **Essential Responsibilities*** Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories* Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging* Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications* Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting* Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR* Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention* Administer vaccinations and refer patients to specialists as needed* Work scheduled shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours as assigned* Perform other duties as assigned by leadership### **Minimum Qualifications*** Minimum **1 year of full-time experience** as a licensed NP or PA in an **Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine** setting (required)* Experience treating **both pediatric and adult** patient populations (required)* Comfortable performing **minor procedures** including suturing, casting, and splinting (required)* Proficient in **preliminary reads** of EKGs and X-rays (required)**Nurse Practitioners:*** Master’s degree in Nursing (required)* National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (**AANP or ANCC**) (required)### **Required Skills & Abilities*** Proficiency in urgent care procedures (e.g., suturing, splinting)* Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills* Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills* Attentive listening and patient engagement### **Preferred Qualifications*** Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems* Multilingual communication skills* Familiarity with telemedicine platforms* Basic understanding of medical billing and coding**Note:** *This job description is not inclusive of all duties and responsibilities.*
