Job summary

Community Health-GoHealth Urgent Care seeks a Nurse Practitioner to deliver broad clinical services to patients of all ages, including acute episodic care. You may work independently or with a physician to assess, diagnose, and treat patients while determining when to elevate care.

The role emphasizes performing minor procedures, ordering tests, and documenting care within an EMR in a fast-paced urgent care setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-time experience as licensed NP/PA in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine (required).
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult populations (required).
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting (required).
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays (required).
• Master’s degree in Nursing (required).
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC) (required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
• Administer vaccinations and refer to specialists as needed.
• Work scheduled shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

About the Role

As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide a broad range of clinical services to patients of all ages. You'll treat acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains, and minor infections. You'll work independently or alongside a physician, using your clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat patients, while recognizing when to elevate care to emergency services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree in Nursing (required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Multilingual communication skills
• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms
• Basic understanding of medical billing and coding
