Job summary

San Diego State University seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care for SDSU students. You will work under supervision of the Lead Physician in Student Health Services, participating in an interdisciplinary team across clinics and services on campus.

Responsibilities include patient evaluations, diagnostic management, preventive care, and education, with emphasis on student well-being and academic success in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Academic degree or certificate from an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• BRN license as Nurse Practitioner in California.
• Current CPR/ALS certification and competency in clinical practice.
• Experience with primary care and student health settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive primary care with patient histories, exams, and treatment plans.
• Order/interpret tests, perform procedures, and deliver preventive care.
• Assess mental health needs and provide referrals or management as appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and comply with policies.
