Job summary

SaVida Health in Front Royal and Winchester, VA, is seeking a fully licensed clinician to manage outpatient addiction treatment. You will schedule patient flow, interpret tests, counsel on medication compliance and coordinate care with PCPs and specialists.

The role requires EMR experience, an active prescriptive license, and a DEA certificate, with preferred prior SUD treatment experience. This is a full-time, weekdays-only position in the Front Royal/Winchester area.

Qualifications

• EMR software experience required.
• Current license with prescriptive authority in good standing.
• DEA Certificate required.
• Prior experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, and empathy to all patients.
• Schedules appointments and oversees patient flow in the office.
• Participates in provider and staff meetings as directed by Medical Director.
• Interprets test results to diagnose health issues and provide feedback to patients.
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance.
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with documentation and coordination of care.
• Conducts patient follow-up visits with progress notes on medication/treatment.
• Contacts patients' PCPs and specialists when necessary.
• Reviews unusual medication adjustments with Medical Director.

Description

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
• Works closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and oversees patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients
• Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director
• Interprets test results to diagnose any health issues and provides feedback to patients
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care
• Patient follow up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment
• Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary
• Reviews any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director
