Job summary

SaVida Health in Front Royal, VA is seeking a licensed clinician to join our outpatient addiction treatment program. The role supports Harm Reduction approaches through medical care, counseling and coordinated patient management.

You will schedule and coordinate patient flow, document thoroughly, participate in provider meetings, and maintain compliance with prescriptive authority and DEA requirements. Weekdays, full-time, on-site work in Front Royal and Winchester areas.

Qualifications

• EMR software experience is required.
• Current license with prescriptive authority in good standing is required.
• DEA Certificate is required.
• Prior experience with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients in line with Harm Reduction.
• Schedules appointments and oversees patient flow with the center administrator and medical receptionist.
• Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director.
• Interprets test results to diagnose health issues and provides feedback to patients.
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance.
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to coordinate care.
• Conducts patient follow-up visits with progress documentation including medications and treatment.
• Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists as needed.
• Reviews unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director.

SaVida Health's care model includes medical care, counseling, comprehensive toxicology testing, case management and medical management of psychiatric medications. SaVida provides compassionate and individualized treatment programs to support those with substance use disorder.

Description

• Exhibits high levels of customer service, compassion, professionalism and empathy to all patients at all times, embracing the Harm Reduction philosophy of treatment for patients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD)
• Works closely with the center administrator and medical receptionist in scheduling appointments and oversees patient flow in the office, practicing safe and healthy control methods while working with patients
• Participates in provider meetings and staff meetings as determined by the Medical Director
• Interprets test results to diagnose any health issues and provides feedback to patients
• Counsels patients regarding medication compliance
• Completes patient evaluations and physical exams with thorough, timely documentation to include coordination of care
• Patient follow up visits to include detailed, timely documentation including patients' progress with medication and/or treatment
• Contacts patients' PCPs and/or specialists when necessary
• Reviews any unusual medication adjustments with the Medical Director
