Job summary

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join the North Region centers as a Per Diem Provider. You will treat both pediatric and adult patients in urgent care or emergency medicine settings, with autonomy and mentoring in a patient-friendly environment.

The role requires 2+ years of NP experience, mastery of minor procedures, and strong assessment and communication skills. Active licensure and national certifications are essential.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required for Nurse Practitioners.
• NP: 2+ years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.).
• Active state medical licensure and national certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide range of clinical services in urgent care settings.
• Assess and manage acute episodic conditions; redirect to ER if needed.
• Deliver high-quality patient experience in North Region centers.

Due to our growth and expansion, Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients.

Our Advanced Practitioners (NP/PAs) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections.

It is essential to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience.

Work Experience

• NP: 2 or more years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays.

Education

• Master’s Degree required for Nurse Practitioners
