Job summary

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for per diem coverage in the South Region. Providers will treat adult and pediatric patients in GoHealth Urgent Care centers, performing triage, minor procedures, and imaging review as part of a collaborative team.

Candidates should have 2+ years in urgent care or emergency medicine, strong assessment skills, and the ability to deliver an exceptional patient experience across multiple

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Full-Time experience in Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patients.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (suturing, casts, splints).
• Ability to read EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat acute episodic conditions in urgent care settings.
• Direct patients to emergency care when necessary with clear triage.
• Perform minor procedures and assist with imaging and labs.
• Collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure quality patient experience.

Due to our growth and expansion, Memorial Hermann - GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who have urgent care or emergency room experience, treating both adult and pediatric patients. Our Advanced Practitioners (NP/PAs) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. It is essential to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary while going above and beyond to deliver an unparalleled patient experience.

Work Experience:

• PA: 2 or more years of Full-Time experience in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting required
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable with minor procedures (sutures, casts, splints, etc.), reading EKGs and X-rays.

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants

Required Licenses/Certifications:

• National Certifications
• Active state medical licensure

Additional Knowledge Skills & Abilities Preferred:

• Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records
• Ability to be attentive with strong listening skills
• Strong communication and customer service skills
